We all have the natural innocence of a child within; this is the part of us that is truthful, humble, loving, natural, and real. It is only our surroundings that lead us to deny it. This innocence and bliss is God within us, and when we know this we are bright, shining, and beautiful.
In this meditation, call on the power of your inner innocence in two ways. First, use bhakti, or devotional worship, to evoke your purity. The Maha Mrityunjai Mantra helps us learn to face death, and this part of the meditation builds the mental nervous system to prepare us for the Aquarian Age and have the strength to bring others along with us. In the second part, invoke shakti, or the feminine creative power of manifestation, to attract what you need to heal yourself and others and create a world that serves and protects the innocent in us all.

Part I: Bhakti
Posture & Mudra: Sit in Easy Pose (Sukhasana) and bring both hands into Gyan Mudra. Place your right palm on top of the left palm, so that the tips of the thumbs and index fingers touch, and the extended fingers overlap in a triangle shape. Hold this mudra in front of your Heart Center (Anahata Chakra).
Mantra: Chant the Maha Mrityunjai Mantra: “OM TRI-AMBAKHAM YAAJAA MAHAY, SUGANDHEEM PUSHTEEVAADHAANAN, OORVAAROOKAMIV BANDHANAAT, MRITYOR MUKHSHEE-AA MAAMROOTAAT.”
Suggested recording: “Maha Mrityunjai Mantra” by Alka Yagnik.
Eyes/Drishti: Closed.
Mindful Attention: Imagine you are meditating on the top of a cold, wind-swept Himalayan mountain in complete peace.
Duration: Continue for 11 minutes.
Ending: Inhale deeply, exhale, and relax.
