Torso Rotations

Spinal Twist, sometimes called Torso Twist, is a foundational movement in Kundalini Yoga that gently rotates the entire spine from the base up to the neck. The twist creates a "wringing out" effect in the torso, aiding in the release of toxins and tension stored in the internal organs and musculature along the spine. This pose is commonly used to balance the right and left sides of the body and stimulate energy channels, promoting a feeling of lightness and balance. Practicing Spinal Twist not only increases spinal flexibility but also helps align the energy centers, making it a popular choice for beginning or ending a Kundalini Yoga session.
