Have a banana (or other food high in iodine) ready to eat after you do this set. This pranayama affects the glandular system powerfully, especially the thyroid and parathyroid glands; the banana supplies iodine to support changes in the thyroid gland pursuant to this practice. It also affects the lymphatic system and the nervous system, to produce a very deep sensation of relaxation in the physical body.

As you breathe, you will feel your body begin to deeply relax and want to take a break, or even a nap. Continue to push through, counteract it by breathing harder and deeper, and you will be unable to avoid relaxing afterward.
