Transcend Fear to Higher Frequency

July 23, 1992

Divine will is enacted through human beings. No person is isolated from or independent of the divine or from others; we all depend on other people for the very basics of life, such as food and transportation. Whether or not we depend on the divine gracefully is our choice. Surrender and obedience lead to service, and service that has impact is called love. When we are given honor, which we cannot earn, we achieve status. The highest status of human life is fearlessness.

The posture in this kriya is difficult to maintain, especially if we have a tendency toward arthritis, but it can bring us out of the depth of fear and completely shift our frequency.

1. Lotus Hands

Posture & Mudra: Sit in Easy Pose (Sukhasana) and bring your hands just above your shoulders with your elbows bent and palms facing up. With the fingers separated and pointing up, cup both hands deeply like a lotus flower, so that there is a little dip in the palm of your hands that could hold rain water.

Movement & Breath: Breathe powerfully in and out through an O shaped mouth.

Duration: Continue for 30 seconds.

Ending: Immediately begin Exercise 2.

Inhale deeply, and suspend your breath for 5 seconds as you squeeze your entire body tightly. Exhale.

Inhale deeply, and suspend your breath for 5 seconds. Exhale completely and hold your breath out for 15 seconds. Inhale and relax.

2. Visualization Meditation

Posture & Mudra: Remain in the same posture and mudra as Exercise 1.

Movement & Breath: Do Long Deep Breathing. Control your breath to make it as long and deep as possible.

Eyes/Drishti: Closed.

Mindful Attention:

  • Expand the horizons of yourself. Expand the boundaries of your Self. Imagine a little blue tree in the cup of your left hand. It is the color of a gas flame, and it is the tree of life and purity. Imagine a little red tree in the cup of your right hand. It is stop sign red, and it is the tree of death. Around each tree, visualize a circle of light created by 30 trillion gods dancing. Continue for 15 minutes.
  • Levitate, allow your soul to leave your body and move towards infinity. Let your body heal as you listen to the music. Continue for 8 ½ minutes.

Suggested Recording: Heal Me by Nirinjan Kaur from the album Musical Affirmations, Vol. 5.

  • Smile and put a happy expression on your face. Feel happy and blissful as you listen to the music for 7 ½ minutes.

Suggested Recording: Bountiful, Blissful, Beautiful by Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa (Espanola) from the album Musical Affirmations, Vol. 7.

Duration: Continue for 31 minutes total.

Ending: Immediately begin Exercise 3.
