Get Neutral to Get Close to Your Soul

May 21, 1981

Our original inner self, the soul, is by nature neutral; it is not for or against anything, but has the freedom and distance to perceive the truth. One of the great challenges of human life is to bring the mind in alignment or correspondence with that neutrality, so we can draw nearer to the soul.

The negative mind cannot give us the whole truth, nor can the positive mind, and the extremes of both are destructive and taxing on the nervous system. Anything commotional distances us from the soul and carries an energy of destruction or death. Conversely, anything conscious brings us nearer to the soul, our original state. It is up to us which way we want to go. It is ideal to be near the soul, so we can see our real selves and experience our real selves, because that is how we can experience the divine. Use this short meditation to get neutral and bridge the gap.
