Meditation for Solar Flares

February 21, 2000

Solar flares that enter Earth’s atmosphere affect the human nervous system, because it is electrical in nature; it relies on electrical impulses to transmit information rapidly throughout the body. When a solar flare impacts the nervous system, the resulting dysregulation can cause us to feel overwhelmed, like we can’t endure, intolerant, rushed, and short-tempered.

This meditation develops glandular and nervous system strength, so we can bear up under this pressure, and be kind and conscious, instead of becoming negative or reactionary. It helps us to face whatever comes without fear.

Posture & Mudra:

Sit in Easy Pose (Sukhasana) with a straight spine. Bring your hands in front of the chest about ten inches apart with the palms facing one another and your elbows relaxed down.

Movement & Breath:

Move your hands with both force and control in a four-part sequence:

  • Bring your right hand up just above the right shoulder and your left hand down near the Navel Center with the palms still facing one another.
  • Bring both palms toward one another as if to clap, with the right hand on top, but stop when they are 2-3 inches apart.
  • Keep the palms in the same position relative to one another, flip them over, so your left hand is on top.
  • Bring both hands back to the starting position.

Eyes/Drishti:

Closed.

Duration:

Continue for 11 minutes.

Ending:

  1. Inhale deeply and clasp your hands at an angle in front of your Heart Center (Anahata Chakra). Suspend your breath for 10 seconds and squeeze the hands hard. Cannon Fire exhale.
  2. Repeat this sequence 2 more times.
  3. Relax.
