Bless Your Child in the Womb

August 22, 2003

This meditation is excellent to practice when you are expecting a child; it is suggested that both parents include it in their Sadhana. It can also be done at any time by those who identify as men or women in the same way.

In this tradition, it is said that a child begins to learn in the womb and is deeply affected there by the mother’s mental, emotional, and spiritual states. For this reason, the mother’s work to uplift and purify herself affects the child very positively. You can use this practice like a prayer, to say “Thank You, for whatever gift you are giving me. May it be worthy of You.” and show your gratitude for the blessing of a child.
