Meaning

The Creator and Creation are One; I know this by the Grace of the True Guru. Oh my mother, I am in ecstasy.

I have met my True Guru easily, naturally, and divine music bursts from my heart.

The rhythmic beats are like cosmic jewels, and bring all powers through Divine Songs.

When God resides within, the mind is filled with divine praise.

Nanak proclaims: I dwell in supreme bliss for I am merged with the True Guru.

Effect

This mantra induces bliss and affirms that the Self is divine. It helps develop self-esteem and confidence. After the English-language affirmations are words from the first part of Anand Sahib, the Song of Bliss, which elevates above duality and establishes spiritual flow. Anand Sahib begins on page 917 of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. It is also part of the Nitnem and is one of the 5 Sikh daily prayers or Banis.
